HOW IT WORKS
- Gather your ingredients and tools, referencing the following recipe here. For substitutions, see the classes FAQ here, or ask your chef in class.
- Pre-measure and prepare ingredients as noted in the recipe before the class.
- Click on your Zoom link to join your group and our chef and host.
- You’ll cook alongside our chef from their kitchen in their home country. Feel free to ask questions, interact, and join in on the fun!
WHO IS THE TABLE LESS TRAVELED?
The Table Less Traveled was founded in 2015 as a boutique, international tour company. During COVID-19, we shifted to hosting live virtual cooking classes with our friends around the world whom we normally visit and cook with in person. Our mission is to unite people through shared experiences, and we believe in the power of coming together around the table. Our classes are hosted real-time, with our chefs joining from their home countries to share their cultures & cuisines.
THE IMPACT OF YOUR CLASS
Our chefs and friends around the world all rely on tourism, and all lost months of employment during the pandemic. Most still aren’t sure when or if their jobs will return to normal. Through our virtual cooking classes, we have helped replace lost incomes, allowing our friends to pay their mortgages, buy essentials for their young families, and help others in need. Despite time zones, borders, and travel restrictions, our friends now have an opportunity to continue sharing their countries, even if they can’t leave their homes.
From the start of his career spent jumping out of helicopters in the United States Navy, J. Scott has a long history of leadership, servanthood, and bearing witness to the transformative power of getting shit done. Since starting 120VC he’s personally overseen the global transformational efforts within organizations such as DirecTV, Trader Joe’s, Blizzard Entertainment, Sony Pictures, Mattel, and others. His team’s unique, irreverent approach to change has generated breakthrough results and created meaningful jobs. In addition to being a successful entrepreneur, J.
